AccepDance

a practice of "being" not performing

AccepDance is a trauma-informed somatic movement practice rooted in the belief that dance is our birthright.

We’re not here to learn how to dance. We’re here to create the conditions for our authentic movement to emerge from the inside out—to listen, feel, respond, and discover how we want to move and be moved.

In a culture that teaches us to perform, conform, and fit in, AccepDance is an invitation to come back to ourselves.

We practice staying connected when the urge to perform or disappear arises, and discover the freedom and joy of moving from a place of authenticity rather than expectation.

AccepDance is not simply a practice of finding our movement. It is a practice of inhabiting ourselves more fully—of expanding our capacity to feel, respond, connect, take up space, and be moved.

A practice of being, not performing.

Through breath, sound, rhythm, and movement

we soften the inner critic and build enough support to take risks, get curious, and stay connected to ourselves as we move. We explore what happens when we loosen our grip on how we think we’re supposed to look, move, or be.

Whether you’re new to dance or have been dancing for years,

you’re welcome here. Come as you are.
