Radical Roots Therapy

As a somatic trauma therapist, I help people reconnect with
parts of themselves they may have had to disconnect from.
I help people process traumatic experiences and memories,
and build the capacity to be more fully present in their lives.

Trauma happens when something is too dangerous, overwhelming, or impossible to process in the moment. Our bodies and minds adapt to protect us. Healing involves creating enough safety and support to process what happened, reconnect with what was lost or left behind, and discover new possibilities for how we live.

Safety isn’t the absence of discomfort. It’s having enough capacity, support, and connection to stay present with what is real- even when it’s difficult, uncertain, or painful. From there, we can take meaningful risks: be vulnerable, tell the truth, feel deeply, set boundaries, pursue what we want, and move toward what matters.

My work isn’t about eliminating fear, grief, or pain. It’s about building the capacity to move through difficult experiences and loosening the patterns that keep us stuck, so we can live with greater freedom, choice, connection, and access to ourselves- and move toward the lives we want to live.

Because the more we are able to be with what is, the more available we become to what could be.
